PINK and Victoria’s Secret Shopping Review + Tips

Okay well I did go to PINK a year ago to grab a free panty and my aunt bought some things at PINK for her daughter but I didn’t really buy anything for myself until now. So that was the first time I went to PINK. The second time I walked into look for jackets but didn’t really find anything good. And recently for the third time I went to PINK, I actually enjoyed it and found things I liked. (Note: All three PINK visits were different location stores)

For those of you who don’t know PINK is a subsidiary of Victoria’s Secret and is designed for college students. So now that I’m actually in college I found it more exciting to give the brand a shot. Now usually I shop at Aerie for the type of stuff PINK sells but I decided to give PINK a shot.

What I loved about it!

  • Aesthetic: Simple and cute! It’s not too crazy or funky just girly and fun!
  • Crew: Very friendly I was offered help by many people at their store.
  • Got my first bra size measurement: I never got a bra measurement before and PINK made it very easy for me. One of their crew-members asked me if I wanted to be measured while I was shopping and it was very quick! She was wearing a measuring tape on her like a necklace so it was quick and not awkward at all!
  • Coupons: Who doesn’t love freebies! I have gotten free panties with these and other amazing deals!
  • PINK Nation: Their rewards program gives you access to good coupons and special deals.

Overall I had a really great time at PINK, I think the store location really matters and also understanding how their sales and coupons work. Without the sales and coupons it can get get pretty expensive so make sure you have access to these.

Shopping Victoria Secret and VS Pink Tips from an Employee

I worked as a seasonal employee during the holiday season at VS Pink and here are my observations from working there.

  • Semi-Annual Sale: This is when the best deals are. I bought many bras and panties and donated them to women in need and it felt so great to help more people out with the same amount of budget.
  • Credit card: I only recommend getting the credit card if you shop at these brands regularly. I personally do not have one and no plans on getting one. But if you are committed to shopping here I have seen many customers own or get this card.
  • Coupons to your house! If you are enrolled in their rewards program you can get coupons mailed to your house. I find that the mailed coupons are more frequent than email coupons so check your mail and add these to your purse.
  • Combine coupons with in-store deals: There are always deals going on in stores and the coupons are generally $X off if you spend $Y or a free panty with purchase.
  • Make sure you buy the right amount to meet the deal: I don’t remember the exact deal but VS and PINK usually do a panty deal where you buy 5 for $30 or 7 for $35. But I remember once a customer was one panty short of meeting that deal criteria. And the total price was more than the amount she would have spent if she bought one more panty. So please pay attention and make sure you are buying enough to meet the deal so you’re not overpaying.
  • The free gifts aren’t that great: Sometimes they do free gifts with purchase if you spend a certain amount. One time they were doing blankets but they ended up running out of blankets so the people that met that criteria did not get it. I ordered some stuff online once and I got a tote bag as a gift that I did not like. However, the free panty gifts are obviously amazing!
  • What are the best deals? This is my observation from what I have seen in my emails and purchased. I got an email on Halloween saying 10 for $31 panties and VS claimed this is their lowest price of the year. Unforunately I missed out on this deal and probably wouldn’t have bought any as I already have a lot of panties that I purchased recently. I’m not sure what the best bra deals are as I used employee discount when working there. But from what I remember from before working there I paid around $18 – $20 without them being on clearance.
