Gorjana is a popular jewelry brand known for its gold-plated and solid 14K gold pieces. If you’re a shopper wondering is Gorjana legit, is Gorjana real gold, and is Gorjana jewelry worth the price, then you’re in the right place! In this review, I share my real experience with the Gorjana Tanner Bar Bracelet and Happy Studs, including quality, wearability, and whether they tarnish over time.
Gorjana jewelry is a brand that I see as simple and timeless. This comes to mind because their slogan is “jewelry you’ll love”. And hey they are right about that because they have been on my mind for a long time, so I’m super glad I finally can wear their jewelry.

So starting us off, Gorjana is totally legit, because I have shopped in stores and online! Gorjana started in 2004 around the Laguna Beach area. Lately, I think they are becoming more popular as they opened more retail stores near me. They opened a Gorjana in Lynnfield, MA in 2024. I was working at this mall during this time, so I got to check it out when they were brand new. And they are opening another store in New Hampshire (Winter 2026).
How to say Gorjana?
I had no clue I was saying Gorjana wrong, because I have heard it mispronounced a lot! According to their TikTok, it’s pronounced “gor-yana”. This is because it’s the founder’s name, and the name is of Serbian origin. This pronunciation reminder rang a bell because I remember it being pronounced “gor-yana” when I went to their store in Lynnfield.
What is Gorjana Jewelry?
If you’re asking yourself, what is Gorjana jewelry made of, I found that Gorjana makes their jewelry out of several material options based on the item. These options include solid 14K gold (yellow or white), 18K gold plated, silver plated, diamonds, pearls, and gemstones. I was surprised that there doesn’t seem to be any rose gold jewelry.
Is Gorjana Real Gold?
Gorjana sells both solid 14K gold jewelry in yellow and white plus gold-plated jewelry. Their solid gold pieces are real 14K gold, while their gold-plated pieces have a thin layer of real gold over brass or sterling silver. While 14K gold is real gold, but it’s not the same amount of gold that you would have in 22K or 24K gold. Gold plated jewelry doesn’t necessarily count as real gold, in my opinion. This is because there isn’t much of a resale value for plated gold.
As someone who is familiar with the quality of jewelry from Western versus Middle-East and South Asian standards, I would say the quality is around the same as other Western brands. Most Western brands do only sell 14K or 18K solid gold. However, most Middle Eastern or South Asian options usually sell 22K gold which is higher quality. That being said, it does not mean the quality is terrible; it’s definitely a more affordable price point than paying for 22K gold.
Will your Gorjana Jewelry tarnish?
My sister has had her bracelet for over a year and has had no tarnishing. It’s recommended as with any jewelry to avoid contact with water and to take it off while your sleeping. As someone who’s broken necklaces and anklets while showing I always recommend to take off jewelry before showering. If your jewelry does tarnish I recommend using these jewelry polishing cloths. This will help wipe of the black buildup on your jewelry.
Gorjana Taner Bar Bracelet

I saw this bracelet for the first time when I visited the Gorjana store in Boston on Newbury Street in 2024. The adjustable chain closure sold me because the bracelet fit well for small wrists. Just when I was about to buy it, my dad insisted that he give it to my sister as her graduation gift. 😭 Normally, I don’t like to wear the same things as my sister. But since I had my eyes on it first, I ended up buying myself one a year later for my birthday. 🥳
This is an affordable bar bracelet under $100 that you can buy online, and it’s made with 18K gold-plated. It retails for $65. This means that there is 18k gold-plated over brass. If it were solid gold, it would be a lot more expensive, so the plated gold allows you to have an affordable bar bracelet option.

How to Style a Bar Bracelet for Casual Outfits

- Layer with gold jewelry! This means add a necklace, and some earrings, but keep these simple and minimalistic.
- Wear short sleeves: I know me wearing a cardigan in this post does not match what I’m saying, but hey, the cold does bother me! #notElsa However, if you can wear short sleeves, it will allow your wrists to be more visible and stand out more.
- Dark Wash Denim Jeans: These can be dark blue or black, but wearing a dark wash pair of jeans will make your outfit more bold and jewelry pop more.
Gorjana Happy Studs Review

I always liked drawing smiley faces as a kid, especially on a school bus window when it’s raining. So I had to check out these happy studs from Gorjana that have smiley faces on them! I even have a matching smiley face necklace from Bloomingdale’s AQUA line to go with the look!
These studs are perfect for everyday wear and they are also subtle so they will only draw attention if someone’s close enough to notice and admire it. But they still fit into the minimalistic vibe and can honestly go with any outfit. I also like how it’s fun but also business-appropriate, because who can say no to some “we have got ears say cheers” energy! 😊

Gorjana Jewelry Review
Overall, I liked both of the jewelry items I got from Gorjana. I thought the price points were fair for the quality of their jewelry. And the jewelry is cute and versatile for any casual outfit. I think Gorjana is best for women looking for timeless everyday jewelry. You don’t have to put too much thought into picking the right outfit with these items. They pretty much go with any casual outfit.
My main concern with shopping here is you have to spend $150 to get free shipping. Shipping for a single earring seems to be about $8. As someone who doesn’t shop in stores often, I was a little upset about it. But they do have a free pickup in stores option. Hopefully, I will be able to shop more when the New Hampshire location opens. If you are thinking about other similar brands to Gorjana to compare in the jewelry world then check out Mejuri and Kendra Scott. (blog post coming soon)
FAQs about Gorjana
Does Gorjana have sales?
In 2025, Gorjana had a holiday event in November where you could get $25 off orders $175+, and higher offers for higher value purchases. Gorjana does not seem to have any other sales during the year. And they do not have a clearance or sale section on their website.
Where can I find authentic Gorjana necklaces and bracelets?
I recommend shopping through Amazon, directly through Gorjana’s website or their stores.
Can I find genuine Gorjana jewelry on sites like eBay or Poshmark?
If you do shop secondhand on platforms like Poshmark or eBay, then you can ask the seller for proof of purchase if they have a receipt. Also see if they still have a dust bag or choose items that are new with tags (NWT) or new in box (NIB).
What are the different styles of Gorjana bracelets available?
Gorjana sells bracelets in many different styles including charm bracelets, chain bracelets, engravable plate bracelets, birthstone bracelets and diamond tennis bracelets.
How do I choose the right size of Gorjana bracelet for my wrist?
To avoid sizing issues with bracelets I recommend picking a bracelet with a slider. This will allow you to adjust the bracelet to the size of your wrist. The Taner Bar which I shared in this blog post comes with a slider.
How does Gorjana compare in quality to other jewelry brands?
I would say the quality is around the same as Mejuri, since they offer solid and plated options.
